Challenge
The Refinery is a luxurious private members’ club located in the heart of Taikoo Place (formerly known as Buttersfield). Taikoo Place has evolved over the past few decades and as such wanted its exclusive members’ club to reflect that transition.
Solution
The Refinery was created after a comprehensive rebranding, which included a new visual identity. The new brand pays tribute to The Refinery’s parent company, Swire, and its unique origins in sugar and shipping. The new identity symbolises the form of a sugar cube divided into layers and the upward direction of the Icon direction reflects the aspirational qualities of The Refinery.
